Surviving Wilderness with The Butterfly Project's Survival Kit...

One of the thing that I dreaded the most when it comes to traveling is not really a surprise. Yes, I hate packing and unpacking with a passion! Somehow in my not-so-complicated brain, I can't register the words 'packing light' and always end up bringing more stuff than I actually needed, sigh~ All thanks to The Butterfly Project initiative, I don't have to worry about bringing my beauty essential at all during my recent trip to Lost World of Tambun last month, yeay!!! 

Every single thing from beauty drinks, lipbalm, sunblock, hair treatment to customize skincare set were prepared for us in a very chic monochrome stripes bag from One Utama. The bag is quite big and can fit all the 10 products easily and safely with its drawstring like compartment. This is by far the best beauty box/bag I come across, most of the stuff are from well known brands and practical for daily usage too! From what I heard, all these babies worth more than RM200, awesome right?

BISOU BONBON MOZZIE A-GOGO

The first item from this bag, may look a lot like a lip balm but guess what, it's actually an insect repellent in disguise! Imagine my surprise when someone told me that! Thank god, I didn't apply it on my lips yet, haha XD It have a very strong lemongrass scent (which I think is what really scares the mosquitos away!) and very easy to use. Just dot or make a small cross at your skin and you're ready to go against the nasty mosquitos, wink2

LIFEBUOY HAND SANITIZER

Next one is the hand sanitizer from Lifebuoy. I always equipped myself with hand sanitizer wherever I go. I really think it's very important to carry one with you especially during traveling, you never know what kind of germs you can get expose to. What I like about Lifebuoy hand sanitizer is, it comes with moisturizing properties such as Vitamin E which is gentle on the skin. So you get the best of both world here, sanitizer + moisturizer =)

SUNPLAY SUPER BLOCK

You don't really call a holiday without going out and play, right? That's where this sunblock comes in. The truth is, I'm not a big fan of sunblock. But this one is exceptional because it's ultra light, non greasy and smooth on my skin. It gave me a clear finish and have SPF 130PA+++ too! I have the bigger bottle from my Phuket trip few months ago and still occasionally use it for a sunny day out! Did I tell you that it's sweat & water proof too? =P

MAYBELLINE BABY LIPS PINK GLOW

I heard so much good reviews about this lip balm from Maybelline... Looking at how affordable it is priced, I bought different shades too. My lips is super dry so it's very crucial for me to have a lip balm that actually works and a little hint of colors won't hurt too =P As far as the moisturizing effects, I still have to apply it every few hours but again my lips is not really cooperating =_= Other than that, I like how the pink glow looks on my lips, very natural and rosy, heee~

L'OREAL PROFESSIONEL MYTHIC OIL NOURISHING SHAMPOO & MASQUE

One of the star products from this travel survival kit is non other than L'oreal Professionnel Mythic Oil! It's their latest hair range to transforms dull hair to beautiful crown with it's unique ingredients such as Argan Oil and Safflower Oil. I can't begin to tell how much I love this shampoo and mask, it's smells good, very moisturizing and it leave my hair feeling so soft and smooth, what's not to love, right? How I wish someone kind enough will buy me the whole set ❤_❤

LUX SOFT TOUCH BODY WASH

If you read my previous entry here, you probably know how much I love Lux body wash especially the Soft Touch. It's my favorite everyday bath treat because it have the subtle feminine alluring scent that last long even after my shower probably due to it's silk protein extract and cherry cream content. You still wanna smells good and sexy during your trip, right? Show some love to your skin with Lux body wash before and after your day out, you'll definitely feel just like home =)

JOHNSON'S BODY CARE OXYGEN FRESH GEL LOTION

If you're growing up using Johnson's body lotion, believe me this one is very different than what you're used to. The texture is very watery and lightweight compared to their baby lotion range and have a very relaxing and fresh scents which may be contributed by the ocean minerals, coralline extracts and aqua moisture essence ingredient in it. I think it won't take you a long time to finish this one and you'll definitely come back asking for more before you know it ^_^

KINOHIMITSU J'PAN UV BRIGHT DRINK & J'PAN PRO WHITE

Honestly, I never consume any beauty drinks before. Since it's hard to determined the results from these 2 bottles, I'm gonna elaborate on how it's taste instead. It's just like drinking your regular grape juice, not so sweet not too sour, it's just right =) It can help to protecting skin from sun damage, lighten the pigmentation and helps skin brightening. Kinohimitsu J'pan UV Bright Drink is made from grape seed extract with no additive, perfect for picky eater like yours truly @_@

TT MASK ORCHID EXTRACT REPLENISHING MASK

It's not really a secret what I really feel about this Orchid Extract Replenishing Mask from TT Mask. I rave about it before here and I'm still gonna rave about it right now... It's certified halal, reasonably price, adjust to my face perfectly and the most important thing of all, it makes my face so much more moisturize and brighter after a single use!!! Sounds too good to be true? Well, it's not actually, the orchid extract helps to hydrate and plump out the tissue to treat dry and lifeless looking skin ★_★

ESMERIA ORGANICS ALPINE WILLOWHERB FACIAL TRAVEL SET

It's not very convenient to bring my skincare set for traveling and I really appreciate the thought The Butterfly Project put into this bag by providing a personalize facial travel kit for each of us. Esmeria Organics range for oily and acne prone skin use Alpine Willowherb which keeps sebum secretions normal while mending sore skin and Totarol extract works by fighting acne causing bacteria and preventing uncomfortable breakouts. I'll just have to wait and see whether it's gonna work for me n_n

Youthful Glow with Vanity Trove x Kose...

Some of them love it, some of them not really happy about it. Honestly, I felt a little bit of both. I kind of like the idea of special box collaboration with renowned brand like Kose very much but I'm not that excited about the products size given. I'm hoping for at least one full size item since my previous Vanity Trove boxes never fail to do so =(

As you can see from the above picture, there are 5 deluxe size products and sample sachets from Kose Infinite Young range came with this box. Almost all of them is from their latest Pure Advance collection which just hit the Malaysian market in July. Let's take a closer look at the products shall we? =)

 (1) Infinity Kose - Pure Advance Oil Cleansing Gel

If you're looking for cleansing oil with gel like texture, this definitely the one you should go for. It's quite different from the regular cleansing oil which I personally think can be quite hard to control and manage. Retail at RM119 for 120g, it's worth checking out if you looking for alternative form of cleansing oil that is travel friendly.

(2) Infinity Kose - Pure Advance Serum II

It's actually works to adjust the balance of oil and water in skin which is prone to open pores and rough texture, caused by dryness. It's quite heavy for me and don't absorbs as fast as I want to but it does feel softer once the serum settle in. Price at RM169 for 120ml, it's not really a must have if you're not a fan of heavy consistency serum.

(3) Infinity Kose - Deep Protection UV

This is actually not a part of the Pure Advance range but a very nice addition indeed. Retail at RM118 for 30g, it works by protecting the skin from UV-A and UV-B rays with the highest SPF/PA protection to protect the skin firmness and elasticity. With the harsh Malaysian weather, this can become handy for those who works outdoor a lot. I might have to think twice about giving it another shot though since it does feel oily when applied to my skin.

(4) Infinity Kose Pure Advance Essence Lotion II

 Essence lotion is pretty much like toner, works by rejuvenate and plump up the tired skin with it's natural essence. I like how refreshing it made my skin feels like and how pleasant the scent is against my skin. Price at RM169 for 160ml, I have the feeling that even the full size item wont last me that long, wink2

(5) Infinity Kose - Pure Advance Clear Up Wash

I know I should review the cleanser first but a little chaos is kind of interesting, don't you think? =P With it's meringue like bubbles, this face wash removes any sebum and makeup from your skin effectively with only a tiny amount of product. The cheapest of them all at only RM99 for 120g, I will probably buy it just for the texture alone, hehe =P

(6) Infinity Kose - Pure Advance Eye Jelly

If you lucky enough to see my eyes without any makeup, I'm sure you will cringe at the sight of it. It's badly in need of a secret potion that can vanish the signs of aging and make it look more presentable. Unfortunately, this eye jelly which claim can help creating eyes that radiate with a vibrant impression can't last me long enough to see the improvement =( I'm still in my never ending quest to find the perfect eye cream though, may the force be with me~ Retail at RM180 for 20g, go grab it if you're a big fan of eye jelly.

Summer Love with Vanity Trove...

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate... That's exactly how I feel about Vanity Trove - The Shower of Summer April beauty box. To compare it with a summer's day is clearly an understatement ❤

Last weekend, me and 19 other girls were gathered at The Vault to discover the latest Vanity Trove edition together in a girly high tea session organized by Vanity Trove Malaysia team. With the cozy ambiance and laid back atmosphere, we were entertained by the people behind the beauty box themselves while having our tea and manicure done @_@

Back to the beauty box, you're in for another surprise this time around ladies... Well, there are some variation to the stuff provided in this box compared to the previous one so every boxes kind of special in it's very own way =) Let's take a look at it, shall we? 

Since I haven't used any of the items yet, I'll briefly share my thoughts based on my experience with similar products before...

 1) Perkins Nail Wrap (RP:RM39.90)

I tried a cheap version of nail wrap before and certainly not pleased with the results, sigh~ Perkins Nail Wrap however look promising with it's clear step by step instruction and money back guaranteed. They have lots of cute designs to choose from and I'm happy that I was given the blue stripey prints in my box,weeeeee~

 2) Oriks Gemstone Nano Platinum Aqua Watery Cream (RP:RM398 for 50g)

This cream is actually a moisturizer and a wrinkle diffuser in disguise, that also help tighten up pores and brighten your complexion. I'm not really sure how this gonna work with my oily skin, I can't wait to give it a try though since it contains more than 90 types of natural mineral in it, perhaps this is the answer to my large pores problems =)

3) Clarins Intensive Brightening Serum (RP:RM295 for 30ml)

I had the opportunity to tried a few of Clarins products before; they have a wide range of products that cater to almost every skin problems. They also developed various technique to apply their products. Since brightening is not really my top priority right now, I'll certainly keep this for my future beach gateway in Thailand soon, wink2

4) Clarins 50% voucher for any face or body treatment + 3pcs beauty kit

This is no doubt one of my favorite stuff in this month box... Have you ever been to Clarins Skin Spa at KLCC? Their treatment is beyond awesome, especially the body massage, it's so heavenly!!! With the 50% discount, I won't feel the afterglow guilt anymore ❤

5) Issey Miyake Florale EDT 

True to it's name, this fragrance clearly influenced by floral scents... I love how womanly this perfume make me feel, soft and subtle without trying too hard. I normally prefer sweet, fruity scents which I always associate with youth, maybe it's about time I grow up and learn to act like a real lady instead, LOL From the leaflet, I can tell that some boxes come with either Elie Saab, Jean Paul Gaultier or Narciso Rodriguez perfume vials. I'm curious about JPG the most since the bottle design looks so pretty, hehe =P

 6) Kate Eyeshadow DB (RP:RM49.90)

As my mom used to say, I have enough eyeshadow to last a lifetime but honestly, it never really stop me from buying more, hee~ Having a new one to add to my existing collection is something that I always looking forward to... Okay, this eyeshadow consist of 2 colors that can be easily blend to create another shade of color. It's quite shimmery but not that overwhelming, wearable for most skin colors and last but not least, it can last forever!!! I got the light pink + brown duo and loving it very much ❤

7) KilaDoll Licorice & Job's Tear Whitening Mask

This is the extra item included in this month edition, I'm not familiar with the brand and as I previously indicate; I'm not really crazy about whitening stuff, I'll probably give it to someone else who'll put it to a good use =) 

To sum it all up, I'm very happy with this month trove @_@ The product sizes are bigger, with 2 full size items no less =) The theme can be clearly seen from the selected items (fancy nails, brightening cream/serum, shimmery eyeshadow) and finally a voucher that really excite me, the Clarins Skin Spa 50% discount ❤

In case you haven't noticed girls, there's a new equation for all beauty lovers out there and yes, it doesn't involve any complicated calculation or intricate math formula, LOL
