Shower Power with Soap & Glory, Lush and Anna Sui...

Unlike some other people who choose to eat, shop or scream whenever they're feeling out of sorts or unhappy, I very much prefer to calm myself down with a cold shower instead. Besides helping me clears up my head, I walk out out of the bathroom feeling refresh, clean and smells very good too!!! Please don't be offended if I asked you to take a bath ya, I truly believe it can lift up your mood and make you feel so much better, wink2

Among all the shower gels that I own, I have 3 in particular that I always run to whenever the mood swing hits me. Sometimes, I even used it for special occasion like hot date or weekend getaway! Shower gel might not give me the strong, long lasting powerful scent like perfume do but I think it did a pretty good job at keeping me smelling good all day. The first one is Lush - Snow Fairy that I bought couple of years ago. Since it's only available during Christmas season, I try not to use it as much as I want to, sigh~ What really makes me feel so in love with this shower gel is because it comes in a pretty glittery pink color that smells a lot like candy and bubblegum ^_^ Not really a valid reason I know, but I guess the scent really reminds me of sugar, spice and everything nice x) It lathers up quite well too, definitely a purchase I never regret!

Next is Soap & Glory - Clean on Me that I received from Tammy for my birthday last year (thanks darl =D) It comes with built in lotion bonus and derived from natural mandarin peel extract which gives me the super soft feeling that my skin desperately need. The texture on the other hand is very creamy, foaming beautifully and leaves behind the well known Soap & Glory signature scent that I adore... It's quite economical too, one bottle can last you forever even when you use it on daily basis @_@

The last one is another gift from Tammy as well; Anna Sui - Rock Me! (Summer of Love) shower gel. I love the subtle floral scent that lingering to my body long after my shower despite the fact that it doesn't lather up as much as I want to. It's quite drying actually but I ignore it due to the summer sunshine memories that it brings, lol Are you a fan of fancy shower gels too? Lustrous Lips with L'oreal Shine Caresse...

It's been a while since my last cosmetic review and I suddenly feel the irresistible need to share one of my fabulous finds. I was invited for Ms. Rosy High Tea Party with The Butterfly Project few months ago and finally discovered the existence of L'oreal Paris Shine Caresse during the event. I know, I'm so yesterday but it's better late than never, right? And yes, I bought all the 6 shades available here in Malaysia but today I'll focus on my Top 3 favorite =)

If you're wondering what sets this baby apart from the other lip products you see in the market, well it's actually a hybrid version of lipstain and lipgloss ❤_❤ Imagine a lipgloss that can last on your lips like a tint, it's exactly what I'm looking for all these years!!! L'oreal Paris Shine Caresse is packed with 30% water and formulated with a light blend of hydrating oil which claims to give you up to 6 hours continuous hydration besides delivering long lasting color and glossy finish, sounds awesome isn't it?

Let's start with what I love about L'oreal Paris Shine Caresse. I love how wonderful it feels on my lips; it's not sticky at all, quite moisturizing and the colour turns out very nice and pigmented too. I truly like the fact that I don't have to re-apply it every couple of hours like other lipglosses and of course, who can miss the luxurious gold tube packaging... It definitely looks so much more expensive than it's RM35.90 retail price, wink2

Did I mention that it comes with a tear shape wand applicator which makes the product application a lot more easier. Among all the 6 shades that I own, I really fall for Juliette (702), Bella (604) and Lolita (606). Juliette is a pretty red-coral shade that shows up very well on not so fair skin like mine. Bella on the other hand is a beautiful pink-peach shade that will complement a wide range of skintone. Last but not least is Lolita, a subtle nude-pink shade that will make any lips look lustrously sexy.

As much as I love my L'oreal Paris Shine Caresse, I'm not really fond of it's perfume-like scent. Adieu 2013, Bonjour 2014...

Looking back at 2013, it's hard to miss all the lovely memories that it brings ^_^ I feel like I push myself over and over again, doing things outside of my comfort zone and totally out of my element, things that I never knew I'm capable of... I guess I'm not as physically challenge as I seems to think, hehe =P I asked you before about 5 awesome things you did in 2013 in my previous giveaway here and today I'm gonna share my very own Top 5 moments from my point of view... Let's join me revisit the memories together, shall we? ❤_❤

CATCHING FIRE

This is one of the most unique experience that I had in my life. I always look up to those who unselfishly serve the country whether it's army, police, marine or firefighter. We watch them all the time in television and movies but catching them in action is totally different story. What makes it even more special, I get the opportunity to play firefighter too =) It might look easy but wearing the heavy suit alone can caused you shortness of breath, imagine going through the fire and rescuing people with it... I develop a huge respect for all the firemen out there from that day on, you guys are truly awesome!!!

THE BRAZILIAN JOB

Someone very wise told me, you must do Brazilian before you hit 30. So, that's exactly what I did to celebrate the fabulous 29 years I had in 2013. Thanks to The Butterfly Project, I finally come around to do it after contemplating about it for years. Honestly, I never thought I've the courage to go through with it considering how low my pain threshold actually is but getting bare and naked down there is not as painful as I seems think. I went home feeling absolutely free and happy as I manage to achieve another things in my before I'm going 30 to do list, wink2

TRUE BLOOD

I surprise myself last year by agreeing to undergo a rather extreme beauty procedure known as PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) which involve a lot of blood and needles, a combination that I choose to avoid in normal circumstances... Thankfully, with the help of numb cream and Dr Maryati expertise, the pain is bearable and I can feel the improvement within few days. I'm not sure I'm adventurous enough to go through with the treatment again but I'm feeling proud of myself nevertheless because I managed to stay calm until the very end, hee~ You can read the full story here =)

THE SOUND OF MUSIC

I always tell everyone close to me about my dream of performing in front of live audience and finally in 2013, I challenged myself to do it not one but three times!!! I not only sing, I play ukulele as well during the performance which I think is pretty hard compared to guitar since I'm not used to it but everything work out just fine despite my overwhelming stage fright, lol I'm not anywhere near good yet but it's a good start for me to build my confidence on stage. I hope I can improve myself over time and continue to share my love for music to a larger audience next time around.

FAST & FURIOUS

Last but not least is my adventure going wrong experience with go-kart. I have to admit that I felt over excited to be behind the wheel of the go-kart car and the moment I start driving it, I completely unaware of how fast that I actually go. Before I knew it, I hit the divider and injured myself quite badly. It's still one of the most daredevil act that I ever did in my life despite unable to finish the race due to my accident T_T If I were given the chance to repeat it all over again, I'll do it in a heartbeat (I'll drive a lot slowly of course, wink2)
