Facing the Book...

killing the time with camwhoring @ the Hot Magazine's booth n_n

Last week, me and almost hundred other lucky winners from Hot Magazine's Facebook page got the honor to attend their special screening of one of the most anticipated movie this year, The Social Network @ TGV KLCC...

I won 2 tickets for the screening plus complimentary drink and popcorn (kinda cool isn't it??? I lurrrve popcorn, wink2) Thank you so much Hot Magazine + TGV for the treat, love ya~ =)

So, I ask my gossip girl, Anie to join me since she's really curious about the movie, and so do yours truly, ngee~ This is my second movie @ TGV KLCC for the week after Rapunzel 3D so I'm quite excited to watch the movie everyone raving about ^_^

the tickets & the vouchers I won, weeee~

I'm greedy, I know, heehee x)

This movie as most of you guys probably know is about the story behind the conception of one of the largest social network, the "Facebook"... Being an avid user of Facebook myself, I have nothing but respect to the brain behind the world phenomenon =)

The movie is quite hilarious and genius I must said, I do get lost in translation here and there (when they talk about all the hacker stuff) but the razor sharp wit and humor is definitely entertaining and worth watching, wink2

The college life there is nothing like what we had in M'sia... It's quite hard to blend in, to be noticed and to have fun without all the right connection from fraternity or any other social hieraki, this is mainly the inspiration behind the creation of Facebook, believe it or not...

me & Anie, my bodyguard of the day, wink2

I absolutely have no idea of the journey, effort and hard work the founder, Mark Zuckerberg and his team going through to make their dream a reality... I definitely blown away by all the things that we seem to take for granted and how it affecting our life nowadays...

For example, without Facebook, I don't think we can even communicating frequently with someone that we haven't met for almost 10 years, don't you think??? Or maybe sharing your feelings and opinion with someone you barely know... I believe lots of us have one way or another rely on Facebook to keep tabs on our friends and family rather than meeting them on daily basis, don't we???

Anyway, me and Anie certainly have a blast laughing, admiring, hating and loving all the characters... Mark Zuckerberg maybe the youngest billionaire in the world but he lead a very lonely life, with no real friends and without the love of his life... (according to the movie la, not solely based on my perception, okey~) all the money really comes with a huge price tag (law suits and friend-less life) it's quite depressing and sad life to live, I felt sorry for him actually T_T

But I'm very2 fascinated by his drive, passion and determination to achieve his goal and mission, he shared the same birth date as me so I can identify some of the Taurus's mule headed personality in him~ @_@ My verdict??? Go watch the movie if you're looking for a smart/serious comedy and if you don't, watch Rapunzel instead, it's action flick + Disney, you can't get any better than that, hehehhe =P

I'm so gonna watch "The Tourist", can't resist the urge to plastered myself next to Johnny Depp though, ^_~ move away Angelina, let Ayna take your place, hihihi =P

Conspiracy theory...

I know most of you out there will probably feel like throwing up reading anything about vampires and werewolves already but I think I need to post about this to get it out of my system, hehhee =P Most of my guy friends were wondering what do all the girls see in these 2 men??? Why they are soooo obsessed with Edward Cullen and not Jacob Black??? I'm gonna tell you why...

I might not be right and fair about this but I've come up with another theory which is quite similar to my previous theory in this post The same rules applies here, Edward represent someone solid, faithful, intense, and quiet just like Liverpool fans, meanwhile Jacob represent someone daring, bad tempered, loud and fun just like Manchester Utd fans... (you are allowed to puke now, hahaha =D)

Of course given the choices, most of the ladies will pick the most stable one right??? But they can't really shake away their attraction to the dangerous one... Which one I'll choose for myself???
ahha, it's for me to know and for you to find out, wink2 ^_~

p.s : I just wish I can have them both, hehee @_@

Time traveler's wife...

 I heart Rachel McAdam's & Eric Bana, ^_^

Although I never admit it, I'm actually hopeless romantic at heart, I love romantic movie especially when it's about the unrequited love... The sappier the movie, the more I love it... I love to cry over a movie especially if the hero is gorgeous, hahaha =D

Anyway, I'm very2 excited to watch this movie since it's one of my all time favorite book n_n If you already read it, you'll know why I said so, wink2
I dont want to ruin all the suspens by giving blow by blow details here, maybe after I watch it, I'll do a little comparison of the book & the movie for you guys, @_@

Some of you may not really into reading, so if you're looking for a heart wrenching romance, go book your ticket now with your love one this weekend... If this movie adapted the novel perfectly, I'm sure all of you guys won't regret it... I can't hardly wait to watch it myself, with lots of tissue of course, hehhehe =P

Revenge of The Fallen...

As one of the lucky winners of Miu2's Blog Birthday Bonanza, I've won myself a pair of Transformers : Revenge of The Fallen movie premier invites which was held at GSC Midvalley yesterday, weeeeeee @_@!!! Since I owe my friend a little favor, I decide to bring him along for the premier which by the way is one of his fav all time action heroes, heehee =P We both heart the movie so much, thanks a gizzilion Miu2 dearie n_n Love ya girl ^_~

I got the chance to met few bloggers who also winners of the contest like very sweet Hanna and her shy bf (I only heard his voice when all the transformers killing each other, hahha =D), friendly Harim and her cute brother, heehee =P, the skinny Cuna and her mesra alam bf, hahha=D, Korean petite girl, Basyirah @ Gedik with her fiancee and last but not least the loving couple, Angelzoe with her hubby (I don't know ur real name dear, sowiee2 ^_~) I haven't bumped with the other winners, maybe I'm too busy gossiping with the girls and didn't noticed them, hehhe =P

gossiping with the girls =P

say cheese, hehhhe n_n

the invites card +_+

Anyway, the movie is super duper awesome... Even the invites card looks so cool~ (potential to be collectible items n_n) What else can I say about the movie??? It's freaking hilarious, full of fantastic graphics and animations, and not to mention great choice of casts (I heart Leo and Sam's mum, hehhehe =D) The storyline is quite predictable, I'm a little sad when Optimus Prime died even though I knew very well he'll resurface back sooner or later~ But who cares, I came for Joshie and Bumble Bee anyway, hehhe ^_^

My fav scene is of course the museum invasion, heehee =P It's funny and kinda make me wanna have my own stun gun too ^_~... (The chances are higher that I might electrocute myself for the 3rd time if I'm using it, hahha =D) It does reminds me of a scene from Ocean's Twelve when Julia Roberts pretending to be Julia Roberts, hehhhee =P The odds are Michael Bay's probably inspired by that scene too ^_^

My only complaint is with the soundtrack actually... Most of the songs isn't exactly new and with the exception of The Fray-Never Say Never, I didn't really like the soundtrack very much... I'm hoping for something similar with Before it's Too Late by Goo Goo Dolls... It's their strategy probably using songs that already been released before...
Nevermind, as long as the movie is good, no one gonna noticed about it anyway... ^_^

For those out there who hesitate about watching this movie, trust me, you won't regret paying for the tickets... All 2 and a half hour watching this movie is totally worth your every cents except maybe the momentary weird thing part when Sam's having vision, hahhha =D To Miu2, I can't thank you enough for the tickets, me likey this movie very2 much!!! Arigato Miu2-chan @_@ I'm very2 happy to be among the first who watch Transformer : Revenge of The Fallen in Malaysia, wink2

p.s : So sorry for the lack of pics, later I'll kidnap from other bloggers, muahahha =D (pics credit to Cuna)

He's Just Not Into You...

In conjunction of the upcoming movie, He's Just Not Into You to the silver screen, I feel compelled to write down about my pathetic love life... I will be 25 in 2 months but sadly, I haven't come close to meet my dream guy... Actually, I never feel the pressure to settle down and having a family of my own before because my parents and my close friends never really push me about it but with my busy body aunties and my stupid colleagues (who assume all the unmarried female are losers) keep asking and scrutinized my social life, I definitely started thinking about it...

Sometimes I wish I'm still in my early 20's, where my single status won't be a subject, but I knew at that age, I can't possibly have the same confidence and zeal for life that I already have today... In the past few years, I started to going out more, met new people and slowly learn to be comfortable in my own skin... I knew that I'm not cute enough to attract guys so I fully utilized my personality to overshadow all my other weaknesses, hehehhe =D But those who like me are either too young or too old for me... =( Men closer to my age usually are the shallow type, they only looking for the younger and cuter girls, so sad but true~

I try to approach few guys around my age, going out and met couple of times but I absolutely have no idea whether they regards me as friends or do they attracted to me in more than a friends way or whether they dislike me but don't want to hurt my feeling... =_= I truly wish I could tell !!! I'm so afraid that I won't like their answers so I never bother to ask... They are being flirty and sweet but I learn the hard way that it doesn't necessarily meant they are into you... More than often, it just a stupid game they play to amuse themselves... These kind of mixed signal always left me confused and unsure to take it to the next level or just content with being friends... I hate feeling sorry for myself but I desperately wish there are some kind of manual for my situation... Waaaaaa~ where all the good men goes??? T-T sob2

Button up...

I'm watching The Curious Case of Benjamin Button yesterday for obvious reason... (Brad Pitt of course, hehhe =P) And I never expected how moved I would be by this movie... It's a very2 sweet love story, and sad too~ Adapted from a short story by F.Scott Fitzgerald, it's about Benjamin, who was born with a rare disease... He seems to be aged backward... Physically he look so much older than his actual age and looking younger as he gets older... Very2 hard to fathom at the beginning but as the story move, you will have a better understanding of his condition and dilemma...

His father abandoned him since birth because of his weird look and he ends up at old folks home where he look just like any of the residents there... In the home, he was sheltered from other people perceptions and growing up believing that he is one of them but when he was forbidden to be friends with one of the residents grandchild, Daisy, he knew that he's different from other people... After he was 17, he left the home and begin the journey to the outside world where the true challenge awaits him...

I don't want to ruin the suspense, because I really2 recommended this movie to everyone looking for something beyond love story... It's about life too, how simple act can affects you and people around you, how do you perceive life with all the ups and downs... how do you savour every minutes of it because you won't get a second chance and how redemption and salvation can set you free... (I'm deep today, I know~)

You may learn a thing or two from this movie especially from the old folks scenes... I cried like 3 times and ruined my make up, which is sign of a very good movie, hehhe ^_^ and Shiloh have a special apperance too!!! You will also get to see a great ballet performances in this movie... Kind of 3 in 1, hehhhe =P If you're familiar with old movie, Forever Young (starring Mel Gibson) you would probably love this one... Brad Pitt acting in this movie might have a little resemblance with his other movie, Meet Joe Black especially the innocence part but don't let his acting skills deterred you... You definitely won't regret it... ^_^

Can't hardly wait...

I'm so thrilled and ecstatic when I read from NST, that lots of my favorite books will be on the silver screen this year, hehhhe ^_^ I have mixed feeling about this actually because most of the "based on book" movies usually end up ruined and changed the story... I totally get that not every scenes can be adapt 100% from the books, but why they must change the ending is beyond my rational thinking...

It's like you write a totally new story... So what's the point in doing the movie version if you gonna change it anyway? They can just get other scripts or something... Why mess with perfection? (almost =P) I just hope they will do the justice to the books... Or they'll definitely have to answer to me and the rest of the book- fanatics, hehhhe =P This is the movies/books list, check it out guys...

Confessions Of A Shopaholic - Sophie Kinsella

MAC 2009

I heard that Hugh Dancy gonna played Luke in this movie... I think Luke role supposed to be fill in by someone manly enough like McSteamy right??? Not pretty boy like Hugh... He's just too cute to be Luke... Luke is more macho and charismatic man~ Isla will be perfect by the way, she's crazy like Becky, hehhe =P

He's Just Not That Into You - Greg Behrendt & Liz Tuccillo

APRIL 2009

Great book for someone in the dating scene, hehhe =P Just wondering how they gonna do the movie though, the book is full of tips and quite hard to interpret... Great cast they have here anyway, Jennifer Aniston. Scarlett Johannsen, Ben Affleck... Won't miss it for the world, hehhe ^_^

Angels & Demons - Dan Brown

MAY 2009

This is actually prequel to Da Vincci Code, which I prefer more than Da Vincci because it have quite twisted plot and full of mysteries... Tom Hanks will be Prof.Langdon again but this time around will be with different heroine if they do follow the book... Very scandalous read indeed~ hehhe =P

The Lovely Bones - Alice Sebold

DEC 2009

This is the old movie poster by the way, Ryan have been replaced by Mark Wahlberg for the main role, Jack Salmon... I personally think Ryan is more suitable for the role because he's pretty intense and have the tortured look... =D Mark is quite cold in his previous movies... Looks like I have to wait and see how it will turns out... ^_^

The Time Traveler's Wife - Audrey Niffenigger
DEC 2009

I'm in love with this book very2 much... I read it and weep like crazy, hehhe =P Eventhough the storyline is quite ridiculous, I think it's pretty imaginative, genius and sweet... And to top it off, they cast Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana too, hehhhe ^_^ I knew this will be another great movie, just like the book...

p.s : I also heard that The Alchemist by Paolo Coelho and Dear John by Nicholas Sparks will be coming to the theaters too (but the screening date are not confirm yet...) I can't hardly wait, hehhhe ^_^
