Adieu 2013, Bonjour 2014...

Looking back at 2013, it's hard to miss all the lovely memories that it brings ^_^ I feel like I push myself over and over again, doing things outside of my comfort zone and totally out of my element, things that I never knew I'm capable of... I guess I'm not as physically challenge as I seems to think, hehe =P I asked you before about 5 awesome things you did in 2013 in my previous giveaway here and today I'm gonna share my very own Top 5 moments from my point of view... Let's join me revisit the memories together, shall we? ❤_❤

CATCHING FIRE
This is one of the most unique experience that I had in my life. I always look up to those who unselfishly serve the country whether it's army, police, marine or firefighter. We watch them all the time in television and movies but catching them in action is totally different story. What makes it even more special, I get the opportunity to play firefighter too =) It might look easy but wearing the heavy suit alone can caused you shortness of breath, imagine going through the fire and rescuing people with it... I develop a huge respect for all the firemen out there from that day on, you guys are truly awesome!!!

THE BRAZILIAN JOB
Someone very wise told me, you must do Brazilian before you hit 30. So, that's exactly what I did to celebrate the fabulous 29 years I had in 2013. Thanks to The Butterfly Project, I finally come around to do it after contemplating about it for years. Honestly, I never thought I've the courage to go through with it considering how low my pain threshold actually is but getting bare and naked down there is not as painful as I seems think. I went home feeling absolutely free and happy as I manage to achieve another things in my before I'm going 30 to do list, wink2

TRUE BLOOD
I surprise myself last year by agreeing to undergo a rather extreme beauty procedure known as PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) which involve a lot of blood and needles, a combination that I choose to avoid in normal circumstances... Thankfully, with the help of numb cream and Dr Maryati expertise, the pain is bearable and I can feel the improvement within few days. I'm not sure I'm adventurous enough to go through with the treatment again but I'm feeling proud of myself nevertheless because I managed to stay calm until the very end, hee~ You can read the full story here =)

THE SOUND OF MUSIC
I always tell everyone close to me about my dream of performing in front of live audience and finally in 2013, I challenged myself to do it not one but three times!!! I not only sing, I play ukulele as well during the performance which I think is pretty hard compared to guitar since I'm not used to it but everything work out just fine despite my overwhelming stage fright, lol I'm not anywhere near good yet but it's a good start for me to build my confidence on stage. I hope I can improve myself over time and continue to share my love for music to a larger audience next time around.

FAST & FURIOUS
Last but not least is my adventure going wrong experience with go-kart. I have to admit that I felt over excited to be behind the wheel of the go-kart car and the moment I start driving it, I completely unaware of how fast that I actually go. Before I knew it, I hit the divider and injured myself quite badly. It's still one of the most daredevil act that I ever did in my life despite unable to finish the race due to my accident T_T If I were given the chance to repeat it all over again, I'll do it in a heartbeat (I'll drive a lot slowly of course, wink2)

Get Your Freak On [Tag]

Morning sunshine, I hope your day is better than mine =) Ever play the tagging game? Well, the last time I did it was like years ago... Since I was tagged by two beautiful ladies, Mieza & Illy, I guess why not indulge in a little game of theirs once in a while, right? So ladies, welcome to the freaky side of me!

What’s a nickname only your family calls you?
My family called me Kina which is actually the shorter form of Kak Ayna coz according to them Kak Ayna is way too long, pffttttt~

What’s a weird habit of yours?
I have lots of weird habits but I'll only tell you one though... I like to play with my toenails until it's bleeding! It's gross I know =_=

Do you have any weird phobias?
I had such a bad experience with termites to the point that I can't even hear someone mentioning it, it'll drive me super duper crazy!!! I'm not sure if there's any terminology for that but they really should created one just for me...

What’s a song you secretly love to blast and belt out when you’re alone?
Elvis Presley - Love Me Tender, I always feel sexy whenever I sing it ❤

What’s one of your biggest pet peeves?
My biggest pet peeves would be men who abused women, they should be decapitated!

What’s one of your nervous habits?
I'll constantly visit the toilet whenever I'm feeling nervous, haha =D

What side of the bed do you sleep on?
Most of the time I've the bed all to myself so I guess it's the center side?

It's a big cat which I named Garfield (isn't it obvious?) given by my uncle, he's weirdly into Garfield as well, LOL

What’s the drink you always order at Starbucks?
I don't drink coffee so I'll just order whatever juice they have...

Apply a good eye cream every day & night but I never really come around to use one =(

Which way do you face in the shower?
Only in one direction, facing the shower of course, LOL

Desserts, it's the food for the soul ❤

What’s a phrase or exclamation you always say?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, it's equal to OMG in my book ^_^

Time to sleep, what are you actually wearing?
Kaftans, it's so easy breezy & comfortable =)

What did you used to wear that you thought was cool but now you realize it wasn’t that hot?
Boot cut jeans, thank god I'm so over it by now, phewww~

That's it ladies, I guess I'm not as freaky as I think I am, wink2 If you're reading this, consider yourself tagged!!! Don't forget to share with me your links here, I'm curious to know about your freaky nature too, hehe =P Until we see each other again, adieu~

[Tips & Tricks] Wuthering Heights...

I'm so tempted to write about Emily Bronte's - Wuthering Heights but afraid not this post have nothing whatsoever to do with her masterpiece, hehe =P When you're happened to be the shortest one in the family (I'm only 5'1" btw) you learn early in life that looking tall especially in a picture is very crucial!!! Pictures after all tell a thousand words, you don't wanna looked back at your old memories and cringe, don't you?

As you already knew, there are no secret potions that can make you grow inches in a short period of time... Just a little DO's and DONT's that I learned and practised over the time through my observation and experience =) It's not exactly brain surgery so I guess you can pretty much apply it whenever it suits you and let the illusion do the trick, wink2

TIPS & TRICKS #1 : KILLER HEELS
It's the fastest and easiest way to make you look taller instantly =) My favorite definitely is slingback heels; it makes me feel taller, hotter and sexier, hehe =P Any type of heels actually will do, as long as you have the confidence to walk the walk ^_^

TIPS & TRICKS #2 : NUDE SHOES
Nude shoes may look plain and boring but thanks to Tyra Banks (who open up my eyes to the power of nude during one of her shows couple of years ago) I don't feel that way anymore!!! If you still have no idea what I'm talking about here, nude shoes (nude heels would be the best) is another great way to trick people vision into believing that you have longer legs. Try it if you haven't, you'll love it I bet =)

TIPS & TRICKS #3 : BLACK ENSEMBLE
Black is another color that you can used to your advantage... Whether it's your tops, pants or both, black have the magic to make you look leaner and taller just like that ^_~ Wear all black for the full effects and you'll look like a mysterious lady that's just gain height instead of weight, LOL

TIPS & TRICKS #4 : CROSS YOUR LEGS
Here is another trick that I learn from Tyra, she really love it when one of her girls doing this kind of pose because according to her, it gives the impression of never ending limbs, hehe =P The truth is, I do it all the time to hide my weird looking thighs, LOL I have no idea it will elongate my legs if Tyra didn't mention it, hee~

TIPS & TRICKS #5 : BODY POSTURE
Good posture not only can help maintaining a healthy body and mind, it's also a great way to positioning your body towards it's best potential. Practising the right posture while standing and sitting can create a taller and lankier you in the long run. It's not too late to start now girls \\^_^//

TIPS & TRICKS #6 : WEARING THE SAME PRINT OUTFIT
This one is a pretty straight forward tips for you girls =) As you can obviously see here, when I wear the same print with my Kurung, I appear statuesque and so much taller than my real petite frame, yeay!!! Outfit too can be deceiving, don't you think? hehe =P

TIPS & TRICKS #7 : ACCENTUATE YOUR BEST FEATURE
Illusionist usually trick your eyes by leading your attention elsewhere before wowed you afterward... The same tactic applies here when you accentuate your best feature!!! You'll indirectly let others focus their sight on your fabulous parts instead of your not-so-skyrocket height, genius isn't it? In my case, I love to showing off my waist since it happened to be the only body part that never let me down, LOL

TIPS & TRICKS #8 : AVOID PHOTOGRAPHED NEXT TO SOMEONE TALLER THAN YOU
I think I should rephrase the title above; avoid photographed next to someone so much taller than you!!! I can't help myself, it's so rare to meet not one but two of my beauty icons, Annie and Maggie Ford Danielson from Benefit Cosmetics ❤_❤ I learned my lesson but didn't regret it at all, at least now I can prove that I already met these wonderful ladies @_@

TIPS & TRICKS #9 : SKINNY JEANS
If you told me 5 years ago that skinny jeans will be all the rage, I'll probably laugh it off and say you're crazy, LOL It took me years to appreciate the beauty of skinny jeans and now it's one of my favorite fashion piece ever!!! It creates the illusion of slimmer and longer legs beside hugging all my flab at the right places, weeeee~

TIPS & TRICKS #10 : LIKE A BOSS ATTITUDE
Finally, the most important thing to make or break your picture girls is your attitude!!! The right kind of attitude will make you soaring high even just in a photo =) The wrong one of course will make you look smaller than you actually is... My photo above here for example can make you think of all sort of things but my 5'1" height right? @_@ Give a little bit of attitude in your poses and let the picture do the talking, wink2

Hopefully my random tips and tricks post today won't bored you all to death, I know I will if I see my face all over the page, hehe =P Happy trying everyone and let me know if the tips work for you too ^_~ Till then, adieu lovelies ❤_❤

The Devil Wears Prada @ Reebonz Malaysia...

My fascination with designer labels have begun ever since I watched my first episode of SATC on HBO more than 10 years ago ★_ The feelings however isn't mutual due to the unforeseen circumstances (you know what I mean~ =_=) and I just let it drifted away, at the back of my mind waiting for the right time to resurface again...

I remembered a conversation with my sister over our spa session couples of years ago about how bad we want to own something significant before we hit 30... She's getting closer to her dream (she want a sport car) but I couldn't see myself getting any nearer to mine, sob2 T_T The truth is, I'm a very simple, laid back, "girl next door" kind of girl you might overlook in a crowd... What I really want is a piece of item that can make me stand out and speak for myself without I even have to utter a single word =) I know I can attract people attention if I want to with my charm (perasan =P) but sometimes I hope I don't have to, you know?

Back to the labels, yeah I think owning at least one designer bag will make me feel like I achieved something in my life... The thing is, every time I'm getting closer to buy one, I always feel a sense of guilt thinking how hard it is for me to save up the money and spend it on one thing just like that~ I'm a big fans of Anya Hindmarch btw hence the blog name but her bags isn't that cheap, sigh~ I know there are pretty good knock off out there but I kind of hate fake people and extend the same courtesy to the fake stuff as well, LOL

So, I tried to channel my needs to a healthier alternative which is buying designer cosmetics instead and browsing website, blogs and magazines =) My enthusiasm of stalking beauty sites had finally paid off when I joined Fatin's blog; Chocolate Cats - Reebonz giveaway last month!!! I've been reading her rave & reviews for years and she's one of the people that you really can trust when it comes to desserts and cosmetics @_@ Check out her blog here if you doubt my words =P

Now, I'm the proud owner of the very sexy Prada pouch worth RM1,300 _❤, thanks to Chocolate Cats and Reebonz Malaysia!!! I still can't believe my luck, the timing couldn't be any perfect with my birthday coming up next month and the company dinner soon =) I already imagining myself using it as a clutch and statement item in numerous occasion~

I can't resist the urge to call myself "the devil wears Prada" now that I have this baby, hihi =P Not that I'm a fan of Red Devil or the movie but yeah, I can be pretty devil-ish too when I'm driving, haha =D This prize however won't make me giving up my dream of owning a designer bag that easily, it's definitely a great motivation for me to work harder and dream bigger, a Chanel flap perhaps? wink2

Before I go, check out Reebonz Malaysia FB page here or their website here for more awesome bags at a bargain price ★_★ They currently have on-going promos that would be a perfect for Mothers Day gifts Don't worry, all of their items are authentic, with various of luxurious brand to choose from and exclusive offers for members!!! Sign up now and unveil the surprises within, who know you might get lucky too =)

[Tips & Tricks] Sleeping Beauty...

I'm pretty sure most of us experienced sleepless nights before, right? I used to have the problem during my college years, it's really exhausting to brace the day without enough sleep, sigh~ A good 7 hours sleep as suggested by doctors is not that easy to achieve if you're not willing to change your lifestyle but afraid not, I've got a few tips up my sleeve for all of you girls ^_^

  • Avoid drinking coffee during night time - I know some of you are hardcore coffee addict, you can try switching your daily coffee intake from all the time to only day time instead, you have nothing to lose and lots of sleep to gain ^_~

  • Working out at night - this might not bode well with some of you but trust me, it surprisingly work!!! When we're working out, yes we feel the adrenaline rush and everything but our body will be sore and tired; the next thing we know, all we ever want is to lie down and sleep =)

  • A long bath - it's not very good in the long run (having bath at night I mean) but it can ease your tension and relax your body especially if you're using bath products that come with aromatheraphy essence, my choice is definitely Lush Twilight Shower Gel, even using it can lulled me into deep sleep, hehe =P

  • Say NO to supper - I rarely eat late at night and always opted for early dinner instead... My reason have nothing to do with health actually, I'm so used to eat early from high school years (I was a boarding school student) and it naturally become a practice to me n_n

  • Listen to ASMR videos - I'm saving the best for last, ASMR or Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response is the tingling sensation that we get in response to audio, visual or cognitive stimuli... I discovered it during sleepless night 3 years ago on youtube and still very much a big fan till this day!!! The soothing whispering voices and triggers give me goosebumps and makes me relax and sleepy immediately ^_^ You can check out the videos on youtube, my fav channels including GentleWhispering, Amaldz, TheWaterWhispers, HeatherFeather, TheOneLillium and lots more =)

Before I'm signing off, I want to leave you girls with my trusted sleep fairy, Maria @_@ Till then, enjoy your long weekend and I'm wishing all of you beauties, a very good night sleep =)

[Giveaway] Hot & Cold...

How do you like your coffee/tea? Hot or cold? Warm or chill? I'm a mass of contradictions, I'm the kind of girl who went to a coffee shop and ordered tea instead, wearing flats when everyone else wear their highest heels and still using glasses when everyone else moving on to contact lenses... Weird, but that's just how I roll, lol =D

This post however is not about coffee or tea, remember my little giveaway here ? Before we see who's the winner, let's take a sneak peak on what's hiding inside the coffee cup shall we? ^_~

Since I wanna try doing a lucky draw this time around, I write down the names of my followers who joined my giveaway in a piece of paper, fold it and shake the cups 4 times (to honour my blog 4th anniversary =P) before took out one of the paper from the coffee cup... Enough suspense, lets head on straight to the result!!! The lucky winner goes to... (DRUMROLLS)

Congratulation Dalina, I'll contact you for the prize delivery & enjoy your M.A.C Evil Eye palette girl!!! Before I go, I guess it's not too late to wish everyone a very Happy New Year 2013 & have a fantastic weekend lovelies @_@

[Tips & Tricks] Fashion Passion...

I'm not a "fashionista", not even a fashion "connoisseur", but I do know a thing or two about fashion, what works for me, what's not, having tons of hits and misses myself, learning few basic rules from magazines and from my observation; and as I getting older and wiser I finally come to terms with my body, embrace my imperfection and dress myself accordingly =)

My favorite fashion icon has always be Charlize Theron, I just can't love her enough!!! She's the embodiment of classy and sexy, carry herself stylishly in every occasion and never fail to impress =) I love how she turn something so simple like a sweater and black pants and somehow manage to turn it into a showstopper!!! With her, everything look so effortlessly and fabulous, me envy~

rock chic + hot chick ^_~

Fashion is very2 subjective, not everything works for everybody and not every style worth trying... For example, I knew long skirts and palazzo pants will never work for me as it can overwhelm my body frame and potentially make me look shorter than I already am~ =_=

The same goes to stripes and prints... Horizontal stripes can make you look so much bigger than you really are, unless that is your intention, dump it for vertical stripes instead!!! I did try wearing it and you know what, I kinda hate the unwelcome attention to my bosom =(

say NO to zebra crossing!!! LOL

Prints is quite tricky btw, too much prints is never a good thing, but if you mix and match it with one plain color it can turn out pretty well =) I'm very wary when it comes to prints, so I'll experiment and asking my sisters first before making any decision, thank god my sisters can be painfully honest with me all the time, haha =D

My sense of style is very2 predictable or in another word "boring"... A Taurus like myself, we always cling to something that we feel comfortable with and stick to something that we know will never go wrong... I get adventurous and rise to the occasion sometimes when I feel like dressing up, usually during special events and yes it's fun and kind of nice to get out from your comfort zone once in a while...

Charlize Theron inspired

One of the trend that I've come to love is skinny jeans, at first I'm skeptical, it did look weird at first sight, but once I tried it on with my highest heels, I feel like hitting the jackpot!!! I do look so much taller and I can see my legs instantly elongate before my eyes, super ♥ it =)

Another thing about fashion, you don't have to spend a fortune to be in style... Taste is something you either have it or not, it is not necessary come in expensive price tags or designer labels, if you smart enough, you can get it from pre-loved stuff sale, car boot sale or even warehouse sale... Or you can wait till it get out of season and bought it at discounted price =)

statue of liberty XD

Anyway, I do have a great respect for the people nowadays who're not afraid to experiment with fashion and try lots of new style... However, some of it tend to make them look so much older than their own age or sometimes looks like they're trying very hard to be younger than they should which doesn't really scream "look at me" in a good way!!!

So here's what me & my little sister come up with during our fashion intervention, the 5 DONTS we see almost everyday, hopefully we don't offend anyone because doing this is so much fun, we can definitely do it all day, hehe =P

fashion disaster in the making!!! =P

Picture Perfect @ Syawal 2012...

Syawal 2012 was a bit different for me, a lot actually... Since my grandma (from my mom side) passed away early this year, we don't really feel like going back to my mom hometown in Terengganu, too much drama to deal with =( We only took short holiday and spend it with relatives on my dad side at Johor instead. As usual, we celebrate raya very simply but still festive and jolly like Syawal should always be ^_^

To tell you guys the truth, we didn't prepare anything until the very last minute, thankfully all of us still haven't use our abayas which my parents bought from their recent umrah trip. It's so different from our normal outfit and come to think of it, it's quite fun to play dress up especially when we can be the mysterious Arabian princess with loud eye makeup, wink2 Here is one of my fav raya picture, there were never dull moment when it comes to my siblings, lol

the black -berries *_*
Another great thing about Syawal is the never ending open houses, I even had to turn down some of the invitations...  Luckily, I somehow managed to squeeze in one wedding along the way!!! It's my dad colleague's daughter wedding ceremony, which was held at Menara TM, Bangsar... I run out of raya outfit to wear and finally settled on my ButtonMyButtons signature bow kurung =) I planned to use it for another occasion but I think I find another way to wear it later on, hihi XD This is me & my little sis, both of us wearing cotton kurung that we both adore ^_^

cotton candy girls ^^
My high school classmate/roommate, Asmah invited me all the time to her house ever since she moving here... Only this year however I get the chance to drop by and catching up with her... She didn't change much despite her marital status unlike some of my friends and it definitely feels good to reminiscing the good old days while indulging my taste buds with all the delicious food she had, hee~ Her son, Amirul is the exact mirror image of her and really fun partner in crime too, super coolness!!! _

triple A's - Ayna + Amirul + Asmah =)
Last but not least is my workplace raya open house... Nothing interesting really, unlike everyone else, I don't have the luxury to enjoy it due to the nature of my job, sigh~ Being me, no matter how unhappy I am, I always try to find the beauty in every situation and I'm fortunate enough to know a few great people that day =) I met my new soulmate too, she love kebaya & cosmetics just like yours truly, we're kinda match made in heaven isn't it? We even wear identical accessories (almost), hehe =P

my soulmate, Athirah
And I did try something new too while waiting for my family to get ready for an open house nearby, I experiment with couple of my fav tunes and come up with this simple music arrangement, hihi x) it's the combination of 3 songs, Bila Cinta (Gio) + I Need a Doctor (Eminem) + Butterfly (Melly Goeslow) All these songs were introduced to me by 3 different people and I think I pleased all 3 of them with my video, wink2 It might not be perfect but I like it anyway, haha =D Hope you guys will love it too, enjoy!!! XOXO

Surprise, Surprise...

Ever since I start blogging back in December 2008, I realized that I never missed a single month without at least one entry, so I have no intention to start a new tradition and ruin my track record just yet, hehe =P

I had a very wonderful February so far, packed with activities which kept me from spending my precious time to blog =( I'm not complaining of course, as much as I love writing, I love living more, haha =D

I always have a thing with surprises, I absolute-freakingly love it!!! And this month alone, I had executed 2 successful surprises, hihi x) The first one was the surprise birthday gift for my special someone who celebrating his 27th birthday 2 weeks ago, and it probably was the grand-est gesture I ever did for a guy in my whole life, hee~

I'm very pleased to know that he love it so much and very2 surprised indeed!!! @_@ Curious about my so-called grand gesture? Check out my video below, wink2

I sounds funny I know, so let's move to the next surprise, hehe =P It's the Shazwani Hamid belated bday bash that me & 9 other girls threw for her last week ^^ It was a very girly affair, full of pink stuff and wonderful company that I'm so thrilled to be a part of since I haven't had any girly time for quite sometime~ ^_^

She certainly have no idea about the party and I can tell from her reaction that she's loving it very2 much too =) I didn't have my camera with me so, this is the pic that I stole from one of the girls FB, please don't judge my weird poses, haha =D Till then, live your full of surprises life to the fullest girls, adieu~

[Tips & Tricks] When Life Gives You Lemon...

My issues with acne isn't exactly a news, in fact I've been struggling with it ever since I hit puberty, exactly half of my lifetime ago~ =_= I had tried almost everything I could think of, from traditional methods, dermatologist medication, expensive skin care, not so expensive skincare, diet, Vitamin C injections, charcoal and the list goes on... That's why I can get pretty sensitive sometimes when people point out my skin imperfections, but today I'm pretty much immune to all the nasty words, it doesn't hurt that much as it used to be =)

Back to the topic, I don't really obsess over acne that much anymore, I try to control my food intake, pay more attention to my health and more focus on making myself happy... And I guess it kinds of work (I think, hehe =P) I slowly swap all the expensive over the counter skincare with a more natural solution, which I get from google mostly, thank god for technology ^^ And among the one that work wonders for me is this D-I-Y Lemon-Aid!

Okay, the pic above here are the stuff you going to need for this beauty project; fresh lemons + empty bottle for storage (I'm using my Benefit Woman Seeking Toner used bottle ♥) + facial cottons + filtered water (not in the picture) + a knife and a pitcher... You can find all these in your kitchen or get it at your nearest hypermarket! It's a very affordable acne treatment for cheapskate like me =P

Firstly, you have to roll the lemons on a clean surface for a few times to get juice flowing nicely, and then cut the lemons in half. Squeeze out the juices from the lemons as much as you can and get rid of everything else but the juice... Add a little filtered water to your juice and let it cool in your fridge before you bottled it up =) 2 lemons are good enough for my one week usage, I'm afraid the juice will be rotten after one week because I don't refrigerated it... To use it, just apply generously with you facial cotton at the scars and acne area. Make sure you clean your face first before you do so and let it soak in and dry out. Super easy, don't you think?

I had used it for about one month now and I love the brightening effect it gave to my acne scars, I also noticed that my acne doesn't pop out as frequent as it used to... It may hurt a little since lemon is acidic, but no pain, no gain, right? And the best thing about it, it's cheap, easy and natural so you don't have to worry about side effects, sweet isn't it? And if it doesn't work out for you, you can always make lemonade, wink2

The One That Got Away...

It would be unfair to say goodbye to 2011 without at least glancing back to all the beautiful memories it represent. My oh my, what a great year 2011 turn out to be and I'm nothing but thankful for all the good fortune that fall upon me, wink2 Okay, now It's time to do the recap for the 10 most memorable stuff that took place in yours truly un-eventful life last year, hihi =P

1) A Tiger by the Tail ^^

After intense grueling, pleading, and spending, I managed to collect all the 60 stamps needed in order to obtain this cute little Tigger (one of the characters in Winnie The Pooh), you have no idea the hell I've been going through to get this little fella, I for one have no wishes whatsoever to repeat this whole ordeal all over again but the wonderful feeling after possessing this baby is certainly classified as "I'm over the moon" kind of feeling, it's beyond awesome!!! This actually a surprise birthday gift to my significant other who have a weird fond-ness for anything Tiger related stuff except Tiger Beer of course, hehe x)

2) Life is a Beach n_n

This unique picture of our family vacation at Pulau Pehentian made it into the New Straits Times travel column in the middle of March 2011, cool isn't it? I never really thought our funny pose will be chosen as the winner of their weekly travel giveaway but luck certainly shining bright for me in 2011 =) The prize is a weekend getaway at Corus Paradise, Port Dickson that I used to celebrate my sister birthday but it's not the prize that really intrigued me at that time actually... The once in a lifetime opportunity to imprint our family sweetest time in view of thousands others and our daily newspaper is definitely hard to pass on, I still remember the moment and the surprise shriek coming from my mother when she read the newspaper that day, hee~

3) Two is Better than One @_@

Early April last year, I was fortunately given a rare chance to meet up, close and personal with the Annie & Maggie Ford Danielson, the daughters and nieces of my favorite makeup brand, Benefit Cosmetic founders, Jean and Jane Ford =) The moment was so surreal, and I had to pinch myself a few times to believe it!!! They're both my beauty icons and I really look up to their sheer geniuses in creating a very fabulous line of makeup, I'm such a big fans of the brand and meeting both of them definitely deserve a big highlight in my book!!! They both are very warm, friendly and approachable in person and I can't get my eyes off their effortless beauty and height, I felt very much like a midget next to them, haha =D

 4) Foot-loose ^_~

As written in my previous post, I bought myself a rather unusual birthday gift last year to compensate for my lack of "music & me time" in the last couple of years, hihi =P I had the best-est musical experience in my whole lifetime in this one night performance from my favorite band since forever, Switchfoot!!! I don't mind to relive the moment again and again for even twice the price, coming from someone who barely make ends meet, it certainly speaks volume of their performance aura, wink2

5) It's my birthday!!! ^_^

My 2011 birthday celebration is quite different last year I must say since I'm celebrating it with my love one for the very first time =) We're hundreds miles apart so seeing each other frequently is definitely not an option and a luxury that we can't afford T-T But he did came all the way even after a hectic day to spend my birthday with me ^^ He even surprised me with my favorite flower, white lily and an instrument I've been eye-ing for quite sometime, ukelele... I love both gift so so so very much!!! =)

6) Tie the knot =)

One of the main highlights of my 2011 life is none other than my best friend forever (it's 14 years to be exact, hee~) Deya engage to be married day with her now fiancee, Alfian... Knowing her for almost half my life, I'm very2 happy that she finally met someone who treat her right and someone that I highly approve, hehe =P She deserve a guy who love her unconditionally and I knew that she did get it right this time around... They both are perfect for each other, I couldn't think of better person who could complete her the way he did!!! I'm wishing you guys the very best, be nice to each other okay,@_@

7) Who's that girl? n_n

Another milestone that I reach last year was I finally succeed in my vain attempt to wear contact lenses, fake lashes and blue-ey eyeshadows, hehe =P I'm too afraid to wear lenses before and too lazy to master the art of wearing falsies, LOL After I figured out the way and experimenting with lots of neon colors, I can proudly say that blue is no longer included in my "NAY" eyeshadow shades list, it certainly took me quite a long time to get it right but I'm so happy nevertheless with the results, I only have two more colors challenge to conquer, yellow and red which I'm in no rush to pursue yet ^_~

8) Lucky Strike @_@

2011 really2 was my luckiest year ever, I won not only 1,2 but 3 big concerts tickets from big names like Micheal Buble, Maroon 5 and 30 Seconds to Mars!!! Life is good, hee~ ^^ I won a lot of other stuff too from perfumes, skincare, book, handbag and even a hotel stay, I felt very2 lucky and surprised actually because I have no idea that I'll be on my winning streak for the rest of the year... Now,I witness it first hand that you do gain a lot more when you give more, may 2012 bring me more luck and excitement, wink2

9) Aye Aye Captain x)

During the Merdeka's month last year, Fly FM had came up with their own version of Captain America named Captain Malaysia (no surprise there obviously, LOL) which planned to help out 54 different Malaysians to overcome their difficulties in everyday life... I'm just trying my luck there and submit my application, little that I know I'm among the lucky 54 who had been granted a visit not only by Captain Malaysia but all the Fly FM's Rock Pagi Crews, yeay!!! I will not unveil what I had been asking for from them because It's quite embarrassing actually to even mention it here but it really2 made my day (and week too to be honest =P), to have all of them paid me a visit, hehe X) The only regret I have was not having my digicam with me at that time to capture the moment~ =(

10) The One That Got Away =P

The last but not least of my favorite highlights of 2011 was I finally brave enough to took the challenge of uploading my very own Youtube video, hehe =P I'm not even close to perfect but I'm very2 proud of myself for going through the motion and producing my very first Youtube cover... I now have a brand new respect for all the Youtubers because it's not as easy as it look, my singing and plucking were all over the place and I couldn't trust myself to speak even a little in this video because I'm afraid my voice will betray me, hahaha =D I do get a lot of positive reviews from my friends, and I'm looking forward to produce more covers in the future ^^
