Lux It Up With Colourpop Lux Lipstick

Before you start asking, no I'm still not over my liquid lipsticks obsession... Colourpop Lux Lipstick is pretty much a spur of the moment kind of purchase. The truth is, I don't have much experience with Colourpop. I know they're affordable and on par with other well known beauty brands in terms of quality but I never really tempted to purchase before due to my bad experience with their Lippie Stix. The Colourpop Lux Lipstick finally had me at hello all thanks to the irresistible packaging. It looks a lot like Charlotte Tilbury luxurious lipstick line, isn't it?

According to Colourpop, the Lux Lipstick is made from nourishing blend of liquid and waxes, enriched with acai, jojoba and pomegranate seed butter to give long wearing creamy matte finish that doesn't feather or bleed with intense pigmentation in colours that made for every skin tone. Comes in 33 shade selection; from the lightest nude hue to unconventional black, this full coverage lipstick is vegan, cruelty free and infused with natural antioxidant to keep lips hydrated and fresh besides protecting it from environmental stressors and premature aging.

I decided to get my hands on 5 Colourpop Lux Lipsticks this time around and my picks were Money Side Up (bublegum pink), Still Crazy (mauve pink), Ghosted (medium rose), What If (cool toned fuschia) and Sitting Pretty (muted fuschia). I have a thing with pink and fuschia, always end up getting the similar shade over and over again and since the formula is different, I guess another 5 more wouldn't hurt, right? I know I should stop buying lipsticks but the colours are so beautiful, I just can't help myself from falling for the lippies!

Moving on to my personal thought, let's discuss the packaging first, shall we? The lipstick comes in a glamorous rose gold star studded tube with the shade label underneath, a little touch that I always appreciate. Everything screams luxury, from the box to the lipstick itself, they definitely exceed my expectation. Just like what Colourpop claims, the Lux Lipstick texture feels smooth and buttery on the lips. Speaking of the hydration level, it's not as drying as liquid lipstick but not exactly moisturizing either. Perhaps my lips is way too dry to begin with...

The finishing on the other hand is leaning more towards satin. It doesn't bleed or settled into lines but not very long wearing just like most lipsticks out there. It's not transfer-proof unfortunately and lasted about 5 hours on me as long as I didn't eat or drink anything. The thing that I love the most about these lipstick is of course, the color payoff. It's highly pigmented, one swipe and you're good to go! In terms of patchiness, I didn't experience any so far and scent-wise; it's mild, barely there, you probably won't noticed it unless you have extremely sensitive sense of smell.

Honestly, I can't think of any bad things to say about these lipsticks. I love all the shades I bought especially Still Crazy and Ghosted. I'm planning to add a few more but international delivery takes a lifetime to arrive here, sigh~ Back to Colourpop Lux Lipstick, I highly recommend it if you're a fan of satin finish lipstick and everything rose gold. It's inexpensive and comes with extensive shade selection, what's not to love about it, right? For more details, check out their official site below and until then, take a good care of yourself lovelies, adieu~
