I'm not exactly a tech-savvy person, in fact I'm far cry from that... I would probably be the last person you look for in any technology crisis... I'm pretty much like my mum in this sort of thing, we are quite conservative in terms of technology and anything related to it, hehhe =P Gadget and all the rage doesn't really have any what-so-ever impact on me... If I still have my late Nokia 3310, (may it rest in peace ^_^) I knew I'll definitely using it till now, hehhhe =P But in the last 2 years, I became more appreciative of the existence of technology in this world... I can shop and sell at Ebay, get the latest gossips fresh from the internet, watch my favorite series online and so much more ^_^
I haven't fully utilised the power of internet and technology until last year after I read Baby Proof by Emily Giffin... Very2 fascinating book indeed, hehhe =P The main character, Claudia satisfied her mounting curiosity of her ex-husband current girlfriend by google-ing her name... This is apparently, news to me... (I'm so left behind, I know =P) Why I haven't think of anything like that before, it still amazed me,hehhehe ^_^
So, fueled by my so called new drive, I started my secret mission =P As all spies in the movies kept saying, information is power... which I totally agreed =) I managed to track down my long lost childhood friend, Z through internet... I'm so pleased with my achievement and eager to look for other people as well... Later on, after a very grueling effort, I found something about my first crush in standard 1, F... He is currently pursuing his study abroad... And to my greatest pleasure, he's no longer the cutest boy anymore... (serves him right for being so sombong to me back then) It's funny how much people can change, hehhhe =P
Because of my never ending curiousity, I track down my ex-bf as well...And of course, they definitely not worth any of my precious time, hehhehe =P I google a guy that I starting to know, L... To my absolute surprise, he turns out to be in some metal underground band, (I totally despise the rockband like-good attitude) he also have a very terlampau photos with a girl in his friendster profile and furthermore,he seems like someone that is so full of himself... Thank god, I knew it early, fuh~ I almost fooled by his good manners...
I also google a cute guy that I have met recently, A... I knew something is not right about him from the very start, (my intuition is almost, always right =P) because he rather email me than sms... It's weird because most men I knew prefer message-ing/call-ing than email-ing... and he only contact me through his office email, which grew weirder and weirder... As suggested by my bff, it could be because he is hiding something... I am of course, itching to know the truth...
So, I start google-ing his full name and the search doesn't come up with anything... I tried to think outside the box and google his father name only and get his brother friendster account... And fortunately, I get to know his account as well... But of course, the suspense doesn't stop there, his account is apparently private... We spies, never give up on hope so I tried searching using his profile name at myspace website and walla, I finally get to know the other side of him... He's actually a model wannabe, living luxuriously at an elite neighbourhood, used to posed in a very demeaning local magazine, (I'm not gonna mention the magazine name, eww~) and his pics more or less suggesting that he's so gay... what the **** is happening to this world? I rest my case...
I knew vain men is shallow and can pretty much accept it if that's the problem here but this completely caught me off guard~ I don't know what to say anymore... I can't help but be thankful again to the technology for saving me from more awkward and embarrasing situation... At least now, I feel a little in control because I have the upper hand... Internet is the greatest invention ever, hehhhe ^_^ And to be more fair, I tried to google my name as well, and ****, I found my balance unpaid college loan, argghhh, I hated the technology again T_T So guys, the moral of the story here is don't search and look for the truth if you know you can't handle them... ^_^
